Libro de Cocina

Llamando a todos los cocineros – El Refugio Infantil de Santa Esperanza (RISE) y los Jardines Botánicos de Puerto Vallarta se complace en anunciar que la publicación del Libro de Cocina de los Niños del Refugio 2012 será en Diciembre de 2011. El Chef de Vallarta Seth J. Cloutman editará el libro de cocina el cuál será una colección de recetas tanto de restaurantes como de los miembros de la comunidad. Todos los fondos recaudados de las ventas de esta publicación se dividirán entre el RISE y los Jardines Botánicos y estará disponible a lo largo del año en los negocios participantes. - Calling All Cooks - The Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza (RISE) and the Vallarta Botanical Gardens are pleased to announce the 2012 Children of the Refugio Cookbook to be published in December 2011. Vallarta Chef Seth J. Cloutman will edit the cookbook which will be a collection of recipes from restaurants as well as community members. All profits from the sale of this publication will be split between RISE and the Gardens and will be available throughout the year at participating businesses.

Retratos de los niños del RISE, tomados en los Jardines Botánicos, estarán intercalados con recetas y fotos de los platillos. El fotógrafo de Vallarta, Paul van Vleck, ha donado los retratos de los niños. Rebecca Texier, una fotógrafa de la Ciudad de Nueva York, ha donado las fotos de los platillos. Henry Baker, un diseñador gráfico de Washington DC ha donado el diseño de esta lustrosa colección a todo color. - Portraits of the Children of RISE, taken at the Botanical Gardens, will be interspersed with recipes and photos of the dishes. Vallarta photographer, Paul van Vleck, has donated the children’s portraits. Rebecca Texier, a New York City based photographer, has donated food shots. Henry Baker, a Washington DC based graphic designer has donated the design and layout of this 60 page, full color glossy collection.

Los restaurantes ya inscritos al proyecto incluyen a Trio, Vitea, No Way José!, Café des Artistes, River Café, Trattoria Michel, muchos más participarán. Cada uno de los restaurantes invitados estará también participando el 11 de Febrero de 2012 en la recaudación anual de fondos RISE por la Esperanza. - Restaurants already signed on for the project include Trio, Vitea, No Way Jose, Café des Artistes, River Café, No Way Jose, Trattoria Michel many more will participate. Each of the featured restaurants will also be participating in the February 11, 2012 annual RISE for Hope fundraiser.

Miembros de la comunidad que deseen que su receta esté incluida en esta duradera colección están invitados a realizar una contribución deducible de impuestos a las Fundaciones Canadiense o Estadounidense, Refugio Infantil de Santa Esperanza, en la cantidad de $100 dólares americanos/canadienses. Dos recetas deben ser entregadas para el 25 de Octubre de 2011 al correo fernando@foodbyseth.com. Cada receta será probada por el Chef Cloutman y el platillo seleccionado será fotografiado e incluido en el libro de cocina. Al momento de la publicación, pre-Navidad 2011, una copia complementaria será otorgada a todos los contribuyentes de recetas - Members of the community who wish to have their recipe included in this lasting collection are invited to make a tax deductible contribution to either the U.S. or Canadian Foundations, Children’s Shelter of Hope, in the amount of $100 US/Canadian. Two recipes must be submitted by October 25, 2011 to fernando@foodbyseth.com. Each recipe will be tested by Cloutman and the chosen dish will be photographed and included in the cookbook.  At the time of publication, pre-Christmas 2011, a complimentary copy will be given to all recipe contributors.

Refugio Infantil de Santa Esperanza (RISE) es un refugio no-lucrativo para bebés y niños menores de 18 años que han sido entregados por el DIF, una organización de servicios sociales del gobierno Mexicano que protege los derechos de los niños. RISE abrió sus puertas en Marzo de 2001. Algunos de estos hermosos niños vienen de situaciones insoportables, habiendo sido abusados, rechazados o simplemente abandonados. Algunos han sido transferidos de otras instalaciones debido al atestamiento, y muchos han estado en instituciones la mayoría de sus jóvenes vidas. - Refugio Infantil Santa Esperanza (RISE) is a non-profit shelter for babies and children under the age of 18 who have been turned over by DIF, a Mexican government social services organization that protects the rights of children. RISE opened its doors in March 2001. Some of these beautiful children come from unbearable situations having been abused, neglected, or simply abandoned. Some have been transferred from other facilities because of overcrowding, and many have been in institutions for most of their young lives.

Los Jardines Botánicos de Puerto Vallarta es un centro de investigación educativa no-lucrativo y un placentero jardín ubicado en las gloriosas montañas de la Sierra Madre. Fundado en el 2004 e inaugurado al público en el 2005, la misión de los Jardines es construir el más grandioso jardín botánico y se dedica a la investigación y educación de la vida de las plantas, así como a mostrar al público la belleza que la naturaleza tiene que ofrecer. - The Puerto Vallarta Botanical Gardens is a non-profit educational research center and pleasure garden high in the glorious Sierra Madre Mountains.
